Marina di Campo is the largest beach on the island of Elba: a wide sandy strip of almost 1.5 km.

Marina covers much of the coast that overlooks the Gulf of Campo, from the port to La Foce, entirely within the urban area that gives its name to the beach. It is protected within the gulf, exposed only to southern winds. Very crowded, it offers all the services, having a large urban core behind it. Surely this beach has always been a cause for apprehension due to the pirate landings. It is no coincidence that the Allied landing in Elba in 1944 was attempted here.
