The bay of Ortano, in the municipality of Rio Marina, is one of the most beautiful places on the eastern part of the island.

Particular backdrops, very suitable for snorckeling and often a destination for charter tourism with motor and sailing boats.

Particular attention if you arrive at peak times due to the presence of many bathers of the boats themselves, we recommend going in the morning and throwing the anchor on the left of the bay, in seaweed or flat beds.

The bay of Ortano remains on the right of Porto Azzurro coming from Punta Ala.

And we recommend it as a first itinerary for a day at the Island of Elba.
